Auction purchase biodiesel has an average discount of 1%

RIO - With an average discount of 1%, the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) today purchased the equivalent of 575 million gallons of biodiesel from 40 manufacturing companies during the 16th Biodiesel Auction. The reference price was $ 2.35 per gallon and the average price was $ 2.33 in the first auction to satisfy the rule of mixture B5, which requires that, next year, are mixed 5% of biodiesel per gallon of diesel sold in the Brazilian service stations.
According to ANP, the 40 winning companies, the gaucho was Granol that offered the largest volume of biodiesel from 80 million liters, with 44.1 million gallons of production unit Anapolis (GO) and 35.9 million liters unit of Cachoeira do Sul (RS). Also according to the agency, the auction was attended by 15 producers of Brazilian states.
The auction was held in the packed auditorium of the National Confederation of Commerce and began at 9:30, half an hour late, extending to the end of the afternoon.
